A lot of people come into the affiliate marketing space looking for a quick buck. I was the same when I first started. I got dazzled by the excessive claims and the “fast money” courses. Unfortunately most of what I tried didn’t work. At best, I ran into a lot of problems.
I didn’t get any traffic to my websites, I got advertising accounts shut down, I got lost in the maze of continuous learning. Many of the problems I encountered would have been avoided (or quickly resolved) had I had access to other affiliates ahead of me on the journey.

Affiliate marketing is an awesome way to make money – when it works. But until it works it’s just a series of difficulties and struggles. Most of what you do doesn’t work. There seems to be no reward for a lot of work, at least that was my experience. That’s why so many just give up – they don’t get anywhere. When I first started doing affiliate marketing I chose products I knew of. I used Amazon and eBay and referred people to products on those sites through my affiliate links. But physical products tend to pay the least to affiliates. Look at Amazon’s commission structure for example.
They pay from 3-11% on a sale to affiliates. Later I learned to sell digital products and could earn 40%+ on my sales.
