So I wrote a couple of my own ebooks and attempted to sell them from a website. Unfortunately I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. These kinds of courses are good items to sell for a beginner. However they don’t offer ongoing value and as I said, Peter’s course evaporated a few years later anyway! Ideally the best digital courses to promote as an affiliate are ones which offer the most value to a customer. Courses which teach and also have software to help people build businesses online are the best. One people are actually earning from a course, they tend to stick to it. If you’re using recurring income affiliate programs, you’ll earn ongoing income for bringing in members.
With just a few members, say 100, you’ll start to see a real recurring income stream. Even if you only make a few dollars every month, (per member) this soon adds up!
Best Selling Digital Products – Advertising
If you’re looking for the best selling digital products to promote as an affiliate, you’ll need to think about your marketing strategy too, to answer this question. Any product which sells could be called the “best selling” product online. An online business isn’t like a large store because people don’t view it in the same way. In a supermarket or a mall, you’ll start to see which products sell well and which don’t. You’ll have the footfall of people coming on a continuous basis in a real physical store.
An online store is different. Any number of steps along the customer journey can affect whether someone buys something or not. Also your marketing is what brings people to a website or landing page. Without marketing, the best product in the world will sit motionless on a digital shelf for all time!
Using paid marketing is the best and fastest way to determine whether a product sells or not. But there’s a number of ways to fail selling even the most attractive and most valuable of products. With paid marketing you’ll need a good product range which offers both recurring income from membership and high ticket products. Without these high value items in your digital store, selling using paid advertising will likely result in a loss.

Lots of things can go wrong when selling digital products over the internet. The goal is to have a sales funnel which collects targeted email subscribers and delivers them to the perfect products. You can then relax on your yacht in the Bahamas collecting your commissions on complete autopilot!
In truth you’ll probably come up against some issues when first starting out. You can get your targeting wrong, have a disconnect somewhere in the funnel which loses your customer, or just fail to collect enough subscribers or engage with them in the right way. Most affiliates will give up too soon and before they’ve even collected 1000 subscribers.
Ideally you should use paid marketing and a high ticket sales funnel for the fastest outcome. Using organic traffic strategies is much slower and less predictable.
Best Selling = Highest Value
Some of the best selling digital products are those which offer the highest value to someone. A product which solves someone’s problem is always going to sell well. Bigger problems require bigger solutions and people will pay more for solving large problems for them.

The biggest problem for most people is being able to afford to live/wanting more and or working in an unfulfilling job or career. If you could solve that problem for someone they would pay you handsomely! Smaller problems offer less opportunity.
